The spontaneous fermentation gives the Riesling Wachenheimer Altenburg its unique aroma structure. The aging in double wooden barrels gives the Riesling space and complexity. 

The Wachenheimer Altenburg is a strong Riesling, developed dry with a finely structured acidity that gives the white wine from the Palatinate its freshness.
